Tony resists turning to drink the superhero civil war. One of his closest friends (happy hogan)  is in hospital after being left in a coma by Spymaster. His wife (happy’s), pepper potts tells Tony about a boxer friend who took too many blows to the head and now can no longer look after himself. She mentions that happy said that he never wants to end up like that. She is telling him this because Stark mentions that he can basically monitor and control the machines keeping happy alive. She asks him to turn off the machines. He refuses.
